“Holding A Place For You (After Hours)” is the first release of a few stripped down versions of songs from Incidental Contact that I’ve been working on. I wanted to greatly emphasize the sadness contained in the lyrics without the conflict of knowing we need to let go, but struggling with the urge to hold on forever. The original version highlights the weight of will involved, while this version instead focuses on the quiet pain of resignation to reality. Listen to the new version at the link in bio.
